2022-05 Coasting the Coast
On May 28th “Coasting the Coast” was organised through the collaboration of the Central Coast and Coalfield’s clubs. There was no interest in making this an official MCMA club run, but Mick attended in his Holden Calais. The run departed Old Berowra Toll Area at 9:00 am sharp and followed the Old Pacific Highway to Swansea with lunch at the Workers’ Club. Mick reported that it was a great event with about 75 vehicles participating and recommended that the club consider this event in the future.- Valiants and the Leyland P76 were iconic but underrated Australian-built cars of the 1960s and 1970s. These two sedans and the wagon are great examples of what historic motoring clubs like MCMA preserve.
- Look at this great photo, taken in the fog. Take note of the range of historic vehicles displayed here at Berowra.
- Another photo illustrating the range of vehicles driven and displayed. Again, some iconic Australian-built cars displayed for the pleasure of 'lookers'.
- Look at the quality of cars displayed here! With the Trans Am are two Toranas and three P76s with an FJ Holden and a Holden Premier at the rear. Can you identify any offer makes? Great stuff!
- Mick's VS Holden Calais with a club banner, looking like a prestige car used by Australian diplomats in the 1990s. It is in the line-up at Berowra.
