2019/2025-06 Maitland Heritage Fest Family Day Display
Just a reminder of the guest Jowett that joined us in 2024.
Bruce and Trevor are a fixture at Heritage Fest. Enid, the black Holden 48/215, is used to promote the event. It was the second Holden to come to Maitland.
Brad's 1946 De Soto represents an era when these large American cars were prestigious and a symbol of wealth. It's pretty good!
A young admirer must be thinking, "what is this"? Bill's fabulous 1943 GHPW Jeep.
Rob's quite impressive EH Holden Special. This model was one of the most popular Holdens ever built.
Wendy's 1967 Mustang is a beauty. After the heartbreak of 2024, her car is back better than ever. Just beautiful?
Rob might love his excellent EH Sedan, but he is easily distracted when there is a very flash 1970 Valiant Pacer about, such as David's.
Here we have Trevor and Bruce again. They are with Bruce's FJ Holden, the model that every Australian over 50 years old, knows very well.
Mick's amazing Lincoln Continental. This is an excellent example of the level excess and indulgence that American cars reached in the '60s and 70s. This is an incredible car that represents an important era in motoring.
One photo is never enough of Mick's Lincoln Continental. Fabulous!
Tony's AMC Hornet. AMC grew out of Rambler in the '70s. These cars were underrated in America and in Australia. They were excellent and stylish family cars.
Ian's 1985 Jaguar Sovereign. These were, and still are, very stylish and attractive cars. They ride and handle excellently, but sadly over the years have a reputation for being just a little unreliable.
A new purchase for one of our newest members. This is Harry's very stylish and well preserved, Toyota Celica.
The grandfather of our club. Kevin's 1913 Fiat 52B is the oldest car in our club. It is very reliable and incredibly popular with the viewing public.
Land Rover vs. Jeep. Here we have Nick's 1956 Series 1 Land Rover and Wayne's 1943 Jeep. Both excellent examples of the genre'.
Nick's Jeep has a loved and well-documented history in Nick's family. It was first sold in Scotland, then spent many years in Africa, and has now spending many years in Australia. It is a credit to Nick and his stewardship.
Garry's' 1977 LX Holden Torana. In the 1970s the Holden Torana 'ruled the roost' both on the roads and on the racetracks. I once owned one, and many of us did. This is a much travelled, reliable and very well presented historic.
Neil's 1981 Alfa Romeo Alfetta. These cars were the main stay of Affa's sports sedan marketing in the '70s and '80s. This car has a fabulous exhaust note and is one of the most regularly driven cars in our club.
Nigel's 1948 Rover P3 75 is a classic post war car marketed for the English middle classes. The Rovers were so popular, reliable and so well respected that the company was referred to as "Auntie Rover". This car is a lovely, reliable and gracious car parked or moving. It has great patina.
A study of rear ends! A Valiant Pacer, a hardtop Mustang and a convertible Mustang. This is what historic cars are all about - STYLE.
