2022-09 Annual Concourse Show n Shine Bikes and Helpers
This was an excellent event with about 100 vehicles displayed and about 150 participants. Due to COVID this has been our first concourse show 'n shine since 2019. The variety of vehicles in our club is amazing, as is the quality of the vehicles. Members received a free barbeque breakfast and lunch. We had a coffee van in attendance, a raffle earning $420 for our charities (Little Wings and Riding for the Disabled), and Mick's stall selling club and other memorabilia. Due to the rain and wet grounds, we had difficulty sourcing a venue. Tocal College was very accommodating and flexible in their offer of a carpark which was an excellent venue. We hope to return in 2023. This album displays motorcycles and some of the helpers who made this event the success that it was.- Vice-President Mick with some of the memorabilia available to members. Behind Mick is his wonderful Holden Maloo with its impressively detailed engine bay.
- Mick greeting one of our judges, Andrew. The 8 judges from local clubs were an enormous assistance to us on the day.
- Our helpers with the club barbeque made for a well-fed and comfortable day for about 150. Here we see Margaret, Lyle, Alan and Colleene 'cooking up a storm'.
- A trophy winner is Norm's impressive and highly functional Yamaha XT600 - Best Military Motorcycle.
- Peter and John with Robert's impressive 1951 BSA Bantam.
- Sassy's coffee van was a popular provider of caffeine during the day. Members greatly appreciated this service.
- Brian (Matchless), Phil (Vincent) and Greg (Triumph) are justly proud of their motorcycles and the admiring glances they attract.
- Brian's Matchless, Phil's Vincent and Greg's Triumph were a great representative trio of the great days of British motorcycles.
- Phil with his Vincent and Greg with his Triumph - both great motorcycles.
- Ron admires Brian's Matchless and Phil's Vincent. These bikes attracted many flattering comments.
- Peter's Honda 750 Four reminded us of how these motorcycles revolutionised motorcycling in the late '60s and early '70s.
- Two Honda 750 Fours are never enough to satisfy the millions of fans of this iconic motorcycle.
- And finally, helpers at our barbeque. There were over 100 fabulous vehicles at our concourse but the most popular vehicle, without a doubt, was our club barbeque trailer.
