2022-08 Peak into the Past, Tocal Homestead
Peak into the Past is an open day at Tocal Homestead that celebrates our colonial history. The Ford Model A club invited MCMA members to attend and display veteran and vintage vehicles. Eight cars were displayed with all owners being MCMA members and two of those being Ford Model A club members as well. Thjere were three Fords, three Buicks, one Fiat and one Holden.- Ian's 1924 Buick Tourer and Barry's 1930 Ford Model A were the first to arrive and are seen here in the morning light.
- Barry arrived very early and his passenger did not survive the wait. Barry's 1930 Ford Model A Town Sedan is a beauty.
- Meagan and Steve with their 1930 Ford Model A Coupe, a very desirable model.
- Di and Peter with their 1930 Ford Model A deluxe coupe, also a very desirable model.
- Barry and Pauline with their lovely Ford Model A Town Sedan. Sadly the passenger was unable to join them for the photo. In the background Kevin is approaching suspiciously.
- President Ian with his 1924 Buick Tourer. Kevin appears to be looting what ever their was in the back seat.
- John, Trace, and Daryl with Daryl's 1929 Buick Silver Anniversary, a restoration that is a credit to Daryl.
- Daryl, Trace and John with their (Trace and John's) 1929 Buick Imperial Limousine, likewise a restoration that is a credit to Trace and John.
- Kevin with his 1913 Fiat 52B, Jed and Vic. Kevin and Jed were there but avoided the camera. Vic was there is spirit. This photo was taken at a recent Eurofest Day at the Newcastle Foreshore.
- I missed getting a photo of Edna at Tocal, but here is a photo of Kirralie and Bruce with Bruce's 1950 48/215 Holden at Maitland Heritage Festival in June. As in this photo, at Tocal, Bruce had this significant car parked in front of the historic homestead.
