2022-06 Maitland Heritage Festival Display
This annual event was held over both Saturday and Sunday with most of our vehicles displayyed on Saturday. Bruce and displayed Enid (Holden 48-215) on both days. Our club featured seven pre-1950 vehicles - 4 civilian vehicles and 3 military vehicles. Slowly more vintage vehicles (1918-1931) are coming to our club and enriching the diversity of our approximately 500 historic vehicles.- Kirralie and Bruce with 'the second Holden to come to Maitland'. Bruce's pride and joy, named Enid after the original owner, is a credit to the long hours of work he has invested in this significant vehicle.
- Wayne with his Landrover ambulance, with Bill observing proceedings. This is a fabulously presented vehicle with many original and rare inclusions.
- It's Bill's turn to feature with Wayne observing. Bill's Ford Jeep is a crowd magnet, and just like Wayne's Landrover, has many rare and interesting inclusions.
- Club President Ian with his Buick. Ian 'always wanted a vintage' and bought this one from a late club member. Whilst 'it was all there', club scrutineer Alex spent many hours getting it on the road.
- Ian with his BMW R75, a survivor of the Russian Front. These rare and valuable 'outfits' were very advanced for their time with two wheel drive, high and low range transmission and diff lock.
- Dennis with his very original Ford Model A. Like Ian's Buick, Dennis presents his Ford in close to original condition for greater authenticity.
- Kevin restored his Fiat 52B in about 6 months. It is a credit to him. This much travelled and admired car is one of only a few centenarians in our club.
