2021-10 Bobs Folly Farewell
This was our first post-lockdown run. We farewelled the Bobs and Hector on their folly. We met at Bakers Cottage for coffee and then to St Mary’s Anglican Church for a short service and blessing of the Rolls Royce. This was 'a bit of a shock' for some of our members! About 40 members in 23 cars then followed the Rolls Royce for a trip to Wollombi with lunch at The Tavern and Myrtle House Cafe. Mid afternoon, the Bobs and Hector departed for Broke (overnight) escorted by Gordon (Citroen) and Ian (Rover). The Bobs and Hector will tour western Victoria and South Australia (hopefully) before returning mid-November for our Nundle 'off-the-bitumen' bike rides. The Rolls will later be shipped to the United Kingdom where it will be re-united with Bob for the Rolls Royce centenary celebrations of the launch of the 20 hp model.- Hector, Bob, Diana and Harvey chatting about Bobs' Folly before the church service and blessing.
