2020-11 Off-the-bitumen bike ride based in Nundle
This was our second 'off-the-bitumen' ride based in Nundle. The accommodation was excellent at the Fossickers' Caravan Park. The weather was brilliant. The riding was as good as it gets. All in all, this was a fabulous four day event with two full day rides - to Bendemeer via Niangala, Weabonga, Limbri and Woolbrook (323 kms) on Tuesday, and to Nowendoc via Riamukka and Enfield State Forest (281 kms) on Wednesday.- Ian, John, Jim, Alex, Bob, Phil, Norm, John, Chris, Steve and Ian enjoy a few 'quiet' drinks on the balcony at Nundle.
- Steve, John and Norm preparing the barbeque and swapping some yarns about their exploits on bikes in 'days gone by'.
- Bob, Ian and John were busy on the second barbeque also reliving past glories.
- John, Steve, Chris, Norm, Alex and Jim enjoying lunch and a drink at the Bendemeer Hotel after a hectic morning on the gravel. Bob was conspicuously absent as he was watching the Melbourne Cup
- It's all about teamwork! Bob, John, Jim, Norm, Alex, Ian, Phil and Jeff make a great tug-a-war team as they retrieve a bike that went 'over the edge'.
- The only evidence of 'a bike over the edge' was this ominous skid mark on the outside of the curve.
- Norm, Chris and Alex enjoy a drink around the barbeque in the camp kitchen at Nundle.
- After dinner drinks for Jim, John and Ian in the camp kitchen at Nundle.
- More after dinner drinks in the camp kitchen, this time for Bob, John, Ian and Jeff. To the casual observer, there seems to be lots of alcohol in the photos of this 'off-the-bitumen' ride.
